Even our grandfathers rode past the old port authority with their horse-drawn carts when they brought their non-ferrous metal to scrap dealers in the port. The Hermstrüwer firm has dealt with since the turn of the 20th century. In its best times, the steel location Dortmund extracted up to 25% of its production capacity from recycled non-ferrous metals. The aspect of “recycling” is unimaginable nowadays due to environmental issues.

“Scrap is raw material”
This is our company motto. Over the years we have acquired this motto through competency in the “recycling” of non-ferrous metals. For over a hundred years in Dortmund the name Hermstrüwer has stood for quality in relation to the recycling of raw materials from scrap.
